Drawing Basics: Light & Shade

This beginner drawing class focuses on how light and shadow help create depth in a drawing.

We’ll practice identifying highlights, midtones, shadows, and cast shadows using simple objects like spheres, cubes, cones, and everyday items. You’ll learn basic shading techniques and how to build darker values gradually.

This class is a good introduction to making drawings look more dimensional without getting overly complicated.
