Drawing Basics: Line & Texture

This beginner drawing class focuses on how different types of lines and marks can add detail, texture, and interest to a drawing.

We’ll practice simple techniques such as contour lines, line weight, hatching, crosshatching, stippling, and other mark-making methods. You’ll also work on drawing common textures like wood, fabric, leaves, fur, and other natural or everyday surfaces.

This class is a good next step for anyone who wants to make drawings look more finished and expressive without getting overly technical.
